About Me
Welcome to my website! I started building this website in April 2018 as a treat for myself and a study break while I was preparing for my final PhD exam. Originally, my plan was to use the site as an excuse to practice my writing and help me overcome my perfectionism and anxiety related to my academic writing. After going through the process of building the site, however, I realized that this website will allow me to do so much more!
I have been practicing witchcraft and exploring pagan spirituality since 2014 and have been a member of the YouTube pagan/witchy community since June 2015. As an academic in the "spiritual/witchy closet," the online community has given me a space where I can feel whole, where I can openly express myself and discuss my beliefs without fear of judgement. Now, with the addition of this website, I can also put down into writing my thoughts on how my academic interests, witchery, and spirituality come together and inform each other. With this website, I hope to foster organic community engagement with my fellow pagans, witches, and independent thinkers as well as share my academic knowledge and spiritual insights.
